Privacy Policy

Last updated: 18 October 2026

The short version. JeevaX uses what you give it — your account details, your mock results and what you tell the mentor — to run your account and to give you a mentor that knows your preparation. To do that, the text of your mentor conversations and a summary of your mocks are sent to an AI service provider (currently Google’s Gemini). Your mentor conversations and learning data are private to you: other students cannot see them and they are not public. A small number of people on our team can read them to run, support and improve the product. We do not sell your data and we do not show advertising. If you delete your account, your mentor data is deleted with it.

1. Who we are

JEE AI Mentor (“JeevaX”) is a product of TechFresh Private Limited (techfresh.in), registered office at A-402, Chintels Paradiso, Sector-109, Gurugram, Haryana 122006, India. For the personal data described here, TechFresh Private Limited is the “Data Fiduciary” under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (“DPDP Act”). Contact: support@techfresh.in. JeevaX is in beta: it is still being built, and this policy will change as it does (see section 12).

2. What we collect

Only what the service actually uses:

  • Your account: name; email address; password (kept only as a one-way scrambled hash, never in readable form); whether you are a student or a parent/guardian; optionally your class; whether you are 18 or older; for students under 18, a parent or guardian’s email address and, once they approve, their name and the date and wording of their approval; the time and wording of your consent; the time of your last log-in; and sign-in records (see “Cookies” below).
  • Your study profile: your name as you entered it, your class, your JEE Main exam date and the hours a day you plan to study.
  • Your mocks: for each mock, the number of questions you attempted and got right in each subject; each question you list as wrong or skipped, with its topic and the reason you give; how hard you found the paper; any notes; and the analysis we compute from this. If you choose to upload a paper PDF, that file too (see section 7).
  • Your conversations with the mentor: every message you send and every reply, with the time and technical details of the reply. From these we also keep what the mentor works out: patterns in your mistakes, commitments you agree to, notes on how you like to be coached, and your study plan.
  • Feedback you send us: the text you type into the feedback box and the thumbs-up/down you give mentor replies.
  • Usage records: which parts of the product you use, when, and whether something failed (for example “message sent” or “error”), linked to your student record so we can fix problems and see what helps.
  • Technical data: our web server keeps standard access logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting.
  • Waitlist form (no longer offered; kept for people who already joined): your name; an email address or WhatsApp/mobile number; whether you are a student or a parent/guardian; optionally your class.
  • Anonymous visit statistics on this website: which page was viewed, which website sent you here, your device type and which buttons were clicked, counted against a random identifier that changes every day and cannot be traced back to you. We do not store your IP address with these statistics, do not use cookies for them, and skip them entirely if your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. These records are deleted after about 13 months.

We do not collect your location, contacts, photos or microphone, and we do not use advertising cookies or third-party analytics on this website.

3. Why we use it

  • To create and run your account and keep you signed in.
  • To analyse your mocks and to power the AI mentor, including remembering what you have told it and how you have done across mocks.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.
  • To fix problems and improve JeevaX. This includes our team reading conversations and analyses, and checking the quality of mentor replies. We do not train AI models on your data ourselves.
  • To contact you about your account and the service (for example confirming your email or resetting your password).

4. AI processing: what is sent to an AI provider

The mentor is an AI. To answer you, JeevaX sends the following to an AI service provider: the messages you type, the earlier messages of that conversation, your name as you entered it, and the parts of your study profile, mock analysis, patterns, commitments and earlier conversation summaries that the mentor needs to answer well. We do not send your email address or your password. Computing the analysis of a mock happens on our own servers; only the mentor conversation (and, if you upload one, a paper PDF — section 7) uses an AI provider.

The provider today is Google, through its Gemini API. Using the mentor means this processing happens; it is required for the mentor to work. We may change AI providers (including to other companies) and will update this policy when we do.

What Google does with it. Google handles content it receives through its API under its own terms and privacy notices, not ours. Depending on the terms that apply to our account with Google, Google may keep requests for a limited time and may use them to improve its services. We have not yet independently confirmed which terms apply to our account, so please treat what you type into the mentor accordingly: do not enter government ID numbers, phone numbers, home addresses, health information, or personal details about other people.

5. Who can see your data

  • You.
  • Not other students. Your mocks, conversations and progress are not visible to other students and are not public.
  • Our team. A small number of TechFresh people with administrator access can read conversations, analyses and feedback, only to run, support, debug and improve the service.
  • Service providers that process data for us: the AI provider (section 4); Google Workspace, which sends our account emails (confirmation and password reset); and the hosting and network services the site runs on.
  • Authorities, only where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties for their own marketing.

6. How long we keep it

  • Account and mentor data (profile, mocks, conversations, patterns, commitments, plan, feedback, usage records): until you delete your account, or ask us to delete it.
  • Under-18 accounts waiting for a parent or guardian: deleted automatically if nobody approves within 14 days. The parent’s email address and approval record are kept with the student’s account and deleted with it.
  • Accounts whose email was never confirmed: deleted automatically after 7 days. Sign-in records expire after 14 days.
  • Web server access logs: about 14 days.
  • Backups: we keep rolling backups of the database so we can recover from a failure. A backup is deleted when it ages out, designed to be within about 30 days, so data you deleted can remain in a backup for up to that long. Backups are used only for recovery.
  • Waitlist details: until your invitation has been fulfilled and you have chosen to continue, you withdraw consent or ask for deletion, or 24 months pass without any interaction, whichever is earliest.

7. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account yourself: sign in, open your account page and choose Delete my account (you will be asked for your password). This permanently removes your sign-in and the mentor data linked to it: your study profile, mocks and analyses, conversations, the patterns, commitments and plan the mentor kept, your feedback, usage records and your consent record. It cannot be undone.

What can remain after deletion:

  • Backups, until they age out (section 6).
  • Paper PDFs you uploaded. An uploaded paper becomes part of a shared catalogue of papers we use to estimate difficulty for all students, and it is not removed when you delete your account. Please upload only papers, not documents that contain personal details. To have a paper removed, email us.
  • Web server logs, for about 14 days.
  • Anything we are required by law to keep.

If you cannot sign in, email support@techfresh.in from the address you registered with and we will delete your data.

8. Students under 18

Many JEE aspirants are under 18. Under the DPDP Act we need a parent or guardian’s consent before we process a child’s personal data. So, when you sign up, we ask whether you are 18 or older. If you say you are under 18, you give us a parent or guardian’s email address and we email them a link. They see what we collect and who processes it, and your account stays switched off — you cannot use the mentor, and no study data reaches it — until they approve. They can decline (the account is deleted) or, after approving, withdraw their consent at any time using a link in their confirmation email, which permanently deletes the account and the mentor data linked to it. We record when and how the parent approved: their name, the date and the version of this policy. If nobody approves within 14 days, the account is deleted automatically.

What this does not do. We confirm that the person approving controls the parent or guardian’s email address. We do not verify their identity, their age or their relationship to the student. We do not use students’ data for advertising and do not track or profile children for advertising. A parent or guardian can ask us at any time to see, correct or delete their child’s data by emailing support@techfresh.in.

9. Cookies

We use only strictly necessary cookies: jx_session (HttpOnly, Secure, valid for up to 14 days) keeps you signed in, and a session cookie of the mentor application holds a session identifier. They are not used for advertising or tracking and are removed when you log out.

10. Your rights

Under the DPDP Act you may ask us to: tell you what personal data we hold about you; correct or complete it; erase it; withdraw your consent at any time; and nominate someone to exercise these rights for you. Email our Grievance Officer (section 11) from the address you registered with, and we will respond within a reasonable time and in any case within the period required by law. Withdrawing consent means we can no longer provide the service to you. If you are unhappy with our response, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India.

11. Grievance Officer

Rakesh Hooda, Chief Operating Officer, TechFresh Private Limited
Email: rakesh@techfresh.in (you may also copy support@techfresh.in)
Phone: +91 98104 67541
Address: A-402, Chintels Paradiso, Sector-109, Gurugram, Haryana 122006, India

Please write to the Grievance Officer with any concern about your personal data, a request to access, correct or delete it, or a withdrawal of consent. We will acknowledge your message and respond within the time required by law.

12. Security and changes

The site is served over HTTPS, passwords are stored only as hashes, mentor data is kept on servers we operate with access limited to our team, and requests are checked so one student cannot open another’s data. No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we will update the date above and, where the change affects how we use your data, tell you and ask for your consent again.
